Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.

Jose Baez announced that he proposed to Casey and they will be getting married next Thanksgiving.
I understand - baez was just pleading for them to blame anyone but Casey (the ABC Defense according to a tv guy, lol) and Mason just bored the crap out of everyone. I need Ashton to wake us up!

I thought Jose did about as good a job with his closing arguments as he could. The jury however will never buy his theory that Casey didn’t report her daughter missing for 31 days on advice from her “imaginary friends”.

Well yeah, but that one was different...you have jury nullification at work. When Chris Darden (prosecutor) was asked when he knew he had lost the case, he said "The first time the jury walked in."

Cool. Baez had the jury on the edge of their seats. Ashton tried for a mistrial. He knows he is going down. Baez was brilliant. The Judge is eating ulcer pills like candy. The Media template is shattered. Mason brought the jury back down to Earth. Now Burdick has a hard row to hoe. Right now the media slime is trying to find a spin.

I agree. That is the sticking point to me. Your kid dies... you have an obligation to call 911.... not throw it in a swamp. And then tell numerous lies for a month.
I heard it would be Drain-Burdick, but maybe she and Ashton will split the time. I like both.
