From my home in Colorado, I recently used Google Maps to wander around the neighborhood in Nairobi, Kenya, where my family lived 2 decades ago. A satellite image on my computer screen enabled me to identify roads, landmarks, and buildings. In some cases, I got a street-level view, as if I were standing on the ground there.
It was quite a view, but only a small taste of how the Lord must see our world.
The psalmist celebrated Gods view by writing these words: The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. . . . He considers all their works. . . . The eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine (33:13-19).
Unlike an unfeeling satellite, the Lord sees with His heart of love as He considers who we are and what we do. The Bible reveals that He longs for us to trust Him and follow His way. We are never out of Gods sight, and He keeps a close eye on everyone whose hope is in Him.
For all who know the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ, its encouraging to realize that every day were part of His amazing view.
Read: Psalm 33:13-22
“22.Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23.For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24.God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25.Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26.And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27.That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28.For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29.Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30.And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31.Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
32.And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
33.So Paul departed from among them.
34.Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them. “

And Colossians 1 ...Jesus holds everything together
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1:1-4 NKJV
"All things are held together by the power of His Word. Did you ever stop to think about that? Everything is held together by Him. If He so chooses to let it fall apart, it would fall apart and be no more. But He is a loving God and upholds everything for our benefit.
He gives us our very breath (Acts 17:25). If it is His will to bring you home to heaven today, then guess what youre going home. If it is His will for you to stay on earth and carry out His purposes a little while longer, then nothing will prevent you from that.
Everything is held together Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). It is all for His glory and pleasure that we exist. He made this beautiful world for us to enjoy. When was the last time you stopped to really take in a gorgeous sunset? Or examined the inner beauty of an orchid bloom? Its all upheld by Him.
Lord, thank You for upholding everything by the Word of Your Power. Thank You for all the beauty Youve created around us. Enable us to stop and smell the roses and to give thanks to You for all things. In Jesus name Amen.
