start walking slowly and ramp up slowly.
also, do a little stretching before you go.

you might want to cross train (swimming, biking, canoeing)
so that you don’t get overuse injuries.

good luck. you can do it.

my mom told me today that a neighbor lost 20 lbs. just by walking
and watching what she ate.
