Hello Trial Watchers.
Grab your yellow legal pads, sharpen your #2 pencils, don your asbestos undies (you'll need them!), and let the flames and the day begin.
Today is the first day of the live thread. Speculation abounds surrounding the surprise one-day recess on Saturday. There is talk of a plea-bargain, discovery violation, witness tampering, and, God forbid, even a mistrial.
Today I heard some feel Chaney Mason may be withdrawing, that he doesn't like working with Jose Baez and is sick of the case.
I believe television coverage begins at 8:00 a.m. and the trial starts at 9:00 a.m.
I can’t understand a word he says and he doesn’t seem to understand anything anyone in court says to him. That the defense put him up there in the first place must be a sign of their desperation.
The next guy up is no better.
Can someone explain what these guys are actually saying? All I hear is that they were mucking around in the swamp (without getting wet, mind you) and not finding any dead bodies. But given their obvious incompetence, who is surprised that they couldn’t find water in a swamp (as one of them actually said).
I am beginning to believe that guys like this were playing musical body with Caylee for financial gain. Something went on here with that body.
This is awful.
Talk about desperation tactics by the defense. What in the world must the jury be thinking? Gotta turn on Nancy Grace tonight for sure, I want to hear what the body language lady has to say regarding her observations.
Dominic Casey is completely crazy! The facebook people are having a riot with him! Poor man is way over his head; he’s obsessed with “x’s” and “squares.” Somebody has got to get him off the stand. I’m surprised Casey herself hasn’t started to laugh.
Jane, please...get a grip. Remember the heart-shaped sticker placed on the duct tape? Where does she think that came from?
I disagree with that. Casey's statement to her brother as to why Cindy couldn't see the child -- "maybe because I'm a vindictive bitch" -- tells the truth to me. Casey didn't care about about who fathered that child ... she quite probably doesn't know who fathered the child. Testimony seems to prove that she was what we called "easy" back in the day.
Casey was angry after a big fight with her mother, and took away from her parents what they cherished most in this world -- the grandchild. The neighbors even heard the fight the night before Casey and the kid disappeared for a month.
Additionally, Casey wanted to party. Everything in Casey's universe is about Casey, and what she wants. Have you seen the recordings of the jailhouse visits with family? Casey turns everything around to be about her and how pitifully she is being treated.
Casey has access to plenty of makeup. With the sunshine laws in Florida, a list of everything the woman buys with her prison account money is available to the public. Makeup and junk food are her main purchases. It may have been Greta that revealed what what on the list.
I believe that Lee, despite his supposed DNA test clearance, is Caylee's father.
Then all of a sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks:
Casey + Lee = CayLee
I have no idea if anyone has posted this yet--I haven't been following the thread...but I wanted to share this very strange bit that popped into muh hayed. :-/
DNA doesn’t lie, and I believe it was the FBI lab that ran the tests, wasn’t it? Interesting point on the name, though.
And it was also just SO odd how emotional CASEY was when Lee was talking about being shut out and not being able to go to the hospital to see Casey or the baby.
I wasn't really buying Lee's crying episode on the stand ... the whole family is trying to keep Casey out of the electric chair. They know she is guilty, but they can't stand the though of her being killed. Casey is NEVER going to garner sympathy from the jury or the public, so the family is trying to acquire sympathy in the hearts of the jury on her behalf.
I think Casey did see the love of her brother coming through and it touched her. Her parents have been unable to get that reaction. She may have even been regretful that the defense brought Lee into the molestation lie.
Casey had an army of boyfriends and sexual conquests, and Lee dated and ultimately married. That indicates to me that there was not a relationship between them other than brother and sister.
I wasn’t paying attention to who performed the DNA test—but wondered if it was possible that it was just accepted from their family doctor or nurse. And with Cindy being a nurse and her knowledge of process and her connections and who knows whatever else... I just know that I can’t in my mind accept that it is anywhere NEAR normal for either Lee’s or Casey’s emotions—surrounding her pregnancy/birth and the secrecy *specifically* against Lee—to be what they ehibited...unless it’s due to HE being the father.
I’m pretty sure that is was an FBI lab technician on the stand that was asked if they (the FBI) were asked to perform paternity tests on the DNA samples, after the police were totally unable to determine the paternity of the child through typical means.
You are so right, Blonde, with all you said. I’m thinking out on a weak limb. All of it just has me stumped. LOL. Weak limb...stump. ;-) wish we could get to the -roots- of it all.
I interviewed Dominic Casey in 2009. He told me he was on phone with his daughter, not a psychic when searching woods #caseyanthony -Longo

Wow. Even laughs from jurors 4 and 5. That’s rare.

Juror 15 looks down as she laughs to hide it.

Juror 16 is trying reallyyyyy hard not to burst into full out laughter. He has covered his mouth with his hand.

Did you get a chance to check out the Youtube Vid I posted? It made me cry.
Yeah but did it smell like a dead body?
Who did the Baby daddy test. I thought the FBI said they don’t do them. This Jack in the Box defense is so disjointed. I sure hope the Jury keeps it all straight.
