Today is the first day of the live thread. Speculation abounds surrounding the surprise one-day recess on Saturday. There is talk of a plea-bargain, discovery violation, witness tampering, and, God forbid, even a mistrial.
Today I heard some feel Chaney Mason may be withdrawing, that he doesn't like working with Jose Baez and is sick of the case.
I believe television coverage begins at 8:00 a.m. and the trial starts at 9:00 a.m.
I was responding to a comment about Velveeta rotting.
Lee did not testify that he was unable to go to the hospital when Caylee was born. He testified that he chose not to go because his family had left him out and lied to him about Casey’s pregnancy.
The DNA has also been tested and proven that neither Lee or George are Caylees’s dad.

“I don’t want to draw any conclusions in the matter until I have had time to evaluate something more concrete and build from there. One thing I’m working on and maybe you have knowledge of is, I have a source that can place Casey and Kronk together in 2007, possibly in July.
The place they were seen, may have been the first time they met since they did not arrive together, based on what my source says. I feel strongly that Kronk placed the body where it was found. I’m sure you have seen the crime scene photos, there is no way someone could just stumble across those remains and think there would have been a body there. Also, do you know if there was any reason Kronk should have been in that area anyway? I’m sure there was no meter to be read and the having to relieve himself excuse is ridiculous.
I know Casey will never tell the truth, but I’m sure Kronk will. He’s very involved and I can’t believe he is being so overlooked by LE.”

How could Lee not know that Casey was pregnant. She looked pregnant in the photos at the wedding when Cindy denied it to family.
I wouldn’t put it past that Hooper guy to have buddied up with the meter reader to get some of that money for finding the body. Maybe he found the body and just said he didn’t.
The second guy was a total buffoon.
He testified he kind of knew she was preggers, but his mother told him to drop it and stay out of it.

I just watched it and it gave me goosebumps. Thank you for posting it. It sends a very powerful message. Justice of Kaylee is coming soon.
I think Cindy is just as big a liar as Casey!
I think the whole family can’t be honest about any of this.
These witnesses are a joke. Looks like George and Cindy bought into any and every scam artist in the book.

Thank you for the emails. I’ve never heard anything about Kathy Belich or WFTV. I just found their website a few days ago. Going to check them out.
The usual order of events is to wait for the verdict before carrying out any sentencing.

Casey seems to be enjoying the attention. I guess that is what makes people like me want to see someone kick her *ss. And if that is putting her in prison or on death row that is fine with me.
She killed her for what reason besides partying and slutting around I don't know. But, I do know that everything points to her!

Eyewitness News watched the video with Lee Anthony’s attorney, Tom Luka (watch interview). The video shows the Anthony family’s private eye, Dominic Casey, prodding and poking the ground at the crime scene and on the cell phone with someone.
“Is it Lee?” WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Luka on Monday.
“No, not that I know of. He denied ever talking to him,” he said.
But Eyewitness News uncovered video of Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey at the jail together right after Lee’s sister Casey was arrested there. So, Kathi Belich asked again.
“Is it Lee on the phone with Dominic Casey?” Belich asked Luka.
“As far as I know, as far as my client is concerned, it’s not him on the phone on November 15th 2008,” Luka said.
“Could it be somebody who Lee spoke with who then went to Dominic Casey and provided information?” Belich asked.
“In the realm of speculation, it could’ve been anyone,” Luka said.
Even though last week Eyewitness News heard that only Dominic Casey’s colleague, private eye Jim Hoover who shot it, had a copy of the videotape at the scene where Caylee’s remains were found almost a month later, Luka said he saw it last week and talked to Dominic Casey about it. Then he backtracked.
“How did you see it last week? Who showed it to you last week?” Belich asked Luka.
“Well, I take that back,” Luka said. “I was not shown it. When it was on TV I saw it.”
“Well, it wasn’t on TV until last night,” Belich told Luka.
“Well, I take that back. I did not see it. Did I see it? No, I did not see that video. I take that back. That was not the video I saw,” he said.
Dominic Casey previously told Eyewitness News he was at the scene in November to rule out the possibility that Caylee’s remains could be there. Then he said he was there to rule out that the area was a teen hangout years ago. Lee’s attorney, though, told Eyewitness News that Dominic Casey told him he was there to rule out a psychic’s tip.
I think I’ve seen her sitting in the courtroom.
Nancy Grace said it was Casey who said she was crazy and told her lawyers she thought she was crazy and couldn’t go on with the hearing.
"But Nancy Grace reported Tuesday night on her talk show that buried deep in the FBI files were paternity documents on Lee Anthony that proved that authorities must have wondered if he might have been Caylee Anthony's father as well.Nancy Grace revealed that the documents, which were released as part of the discovery documents, showed that Lee Anthony was not the biological father, that the FBI paternity test had come back negative. Kalthi Belich of WFTV told Grace that the paternity test was part of a search warrant issued against Lee Anthony and may have come after Casey Anthony had told the FBI that her brother had acted inappropriately toward her on several occasions. Belich said that Casey Anthony had told the FBI that the incidents had taken place over an extended period of time, but the looseness of the timeframe apparently concerned the FBI enough for them to conduct a paternity test on Lee Anthony. That and the added testimonies of Casey Anthony's former fiance, Jesse Grund, and her then current boyfriend, Anthony Lazzaro that she had confided to them that her brother had made sexual advances toward her in the past."
