Thanks for da ping AZ.44mag!

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

I hope he announces the results. A lot of the FNC polls, like on BOR and Greta, they do.

“IF the debt ceiling isn’t raised, the President must take whatever measures are necessary to ensure a default on the Federal debt does not occur.”

But we wouldn’t HAVE to default at all, even without raising the debt ceiling. They’d have to look at actually making some spending cuts while continuing to make our debt payment, as they should. Rand Paul was interviewed about this a few nights ago and he spoke of this. He said the govt. takes in $100 billion per month and our debt interest payment is $10 billion. Well, Duh.

A lot of us believe that the rest of the world would actually view us as a more reliable credit risk if they see we’re at last serious about becoming more frugal and cutting back on previously out of control spending.

BTW, since when has this “president” EVER felt obligated by his (false) vow to uphold the Constitution???

I’m new to this ping thing and not sure how to do it. But what about doing a thread on the following one from Hannity’s site?

“Who would you like to see run in 2012?” Let’s get Ron Paul out of #1 spot. The Paul-bots do NOT represent most of us, and I’m sick of hearing so much about him in the media as if he does.

Let the Paulites spam it, sez I. Not worth trying to turn around, IMHO. Thanks for the ping anyway.

As far as pinging goes, just ping me on the thread to any that pop up on FR, if we are not there already, or FRmail one with a link.

I stay away from polls on blogsites, ones requiring a signup, and online petitions (too many of ‘em)

I don't know 'about the current Posseur in Occupancy of the WH, but a truly fiscally conservative President could hack the required $billion or two as it becomes necessary from any government program the President deems appropriate by Executive Order, in order to prevent default on the public debt. Failure to do so would constitute grounds for impeachment. Obviously Congress is just as culpable concerning the matter, but what mechanism exists to impeach ALL of Congress?

One plausible scenario I can see is Congress indeed raises the debt limit, and if a fiscally conservative President vetoes that, Congress could over-ride that veto. Think the votes are there for that?

In the mean time while Congress is squabbling over that, President has to take whatever action to avoid default on the debt. Period.

However, I'm not delusional to believe Obumbster would veto the debt ceiling incrementation. How long would that be in effect, and what ramifications in that regard for the next President with bona fides of residency in the WH? Think that could turn into a Constitutional crises show-down? You betchya. ;)

Which one of the candidates has the stones to do that?
