Field of Dreams - “Dad, wanna have a catch?”

Lonesome Dove - “Eye God, Woodrow. It’s been quite a ride.”

Both moments make me cry like a school girl.

The scene in An Affair To Remember when Cary Grants character finds out why she couldn’t meet him...as she is laid up on the couch.

The scene in Braveheart when Muroh is about to be killed by the English soldier, she looks all around for William Wallace but he is nowhere in sight to save her.

All the scenes with James Garners character and his wife in The Notebook.

Just to name a few that came to the top of my head.

When the father dies in Life is Beautiful.

The end of Gran Torino when the young man is driving the car.

We Were Soldiers when the Colonel's wife starts delivering the telegrams.

The scene from Empire Strikes Back when the Imperial forces breach the Rebel defenses and the retreat is sounded. The Rebels start fleeing across the snow, but the Imprrial Walkers are mowing them down without mercy.

The final scene in “Places in the Heart”

The widow Spaulding reunited with her dead husband (Sheriff) and his killer receiving Holy Communion. All the major characters are there, including a blind man who now can see.

"I God Woodrow, It’s been quite a party”--from "Lonesome Dove"---when Gus is dying, saying goodbye to his lifelong friend, Woodrow Call.

(Okay, that is a mini-series)

Just thought of another couple of scenes....

The end of Pay It Forward and My Dog Skip. Both leave me with a lump in my throat.

The end of Shenandoah when the youngest son, who every one thought was dead, hobbles up the aisle of the church.
