The only problem I have with the "There's just not that much water in the atmosphere," reasoning regarding Noah's Flood is that if O'Connor would just read the Bibles instead of speaking off the cuff, he would realize that the major source of the water was not the atmosphere, but the fountains of the great deep described in Genesis 7:11-12.
IOW, the major source of the water was subterranean not from the atmosphere.
When Germany had their 'record' flooding a few years back they only changed the way they dredged their rivers for environmental reasons and kept that as quite as possible.
I have not followed the floods on the Mississippi but does anyone know of the way dredging changed here to?
