Who will you support?
They’ve already had their opportunity. They failed. They don’t want to have to argue against the logic of an outspoken conservative. They want a wimp-RINO type like McCain. They want the kind that is constantly on the defensive against their false accusations of racism and the like.
“I know, you cant mention Sarah not running without being flamed, but we do need to be prepared if she doesnt run.”
Be prepared? What the heck does that mean?
I hope she runs, it will be an up hill battle for her to get the nomination (the MSM will lie and attack her viciously) but she will have the guts to go after Obama without compromise. That is the key to this election, his record is worse than even Carter’s. A solid conservative who relentlessly attacks Obama’s record will win.
noone is better than Palin, not even Perry. Will any one of them cut 80% of government spending on themselves from the previous administration?!?!? Will anyone of them cut them cut their own salary?
Will anyone of them cut their own salary, I mean
I don’t think the MSM is afraid of her, they are too arrogant and self absorbed to be afraid.
Thanks; I live in Texas as well and I swear....I don’t get Perry. I’ve largely ignored his Governership and haven’t really kept up with him but when he is in the news, it seems it’s usually all about selling highways or building toll roads. I don’t watch Texas governors much because the way Texas is set up, the power is in the Lieutenant Governor, not the governor. I would think Perry is positioning himself for a Vice Presidential role.
I hope so too, but I also believe in having a backup plan.
A plan B if you will. If Sarah Palin is the nominee, who would I want her to pick as VP (if she was picking out of the current crop of candidates), thats part of my litmus test, and I think its a pretty good one.
Some of the freepers here though, have the attitude, if she doesn't run, well, then the world has ceased to exist, and they quit, or they just can't comprehend the idea of her not running. If she got the nomination, I'm wondering how she would ever be able to pick a VP since, everyone is now considered a RINO because they are not her.....
That said, your right about the Carter comparison, but the way the economy is going, personally, anyone with a pulse, might be able to beat him, if unemployment is in the 10% neighborhood, conservative or not (though if they aren't, aka Romney, I can not support them).
I live in Texas and Perry is a talker...not a walker. He is a rino who says what you want to hear. He is not what we need and although I have voted for him in Texas...I won’t on the presidential ticket. I will only vote for a conservative.
If Freepers were the only conservatives that could vote, Palin would walk with the nomination.
I agree with most of what you said, but I don’t believe just anyone can beat him. The MSM will viciously attack our nominee. The candidate who can beat him will have to have the courage to go after Obama in the areas McCain was too wimpy to exploit.
Although I’m not a Trump fan, he’s done this successfully and should be a model for our candidate in this area. Don’t fear what the MSM has said is taboo.
True. She still may win the nomination though. She hasn’t even declared as a candidate...
I got Rugers good weapons!
I own two myself and have been very happy with both. But I do lust after the Kimber 40 ultra carry.
Very true, but the bizarre fact that McCain got the nomination proves we aren’t the only primary voters. And, unfortunately, I fear many republican voters didn’t learn their lesson (open primaries aside).
It takes a lot of organization to become the nominee and the hour is very late.
Aside from some fervent supporters and a bus, where is the evidence that she’s gearing up for an election run?
I don't know. My first look at Pawlenty was the May debate where his brown suit and orange tie were more interesting than he was. I heard a few clips this week where he attacked Obama.
In answering, I stuck with those firmly "in" right now.
If Perry enters I'd be more interested in him since TX seems to be doing comparatively well.
“If Perry enters I’d be more interested in him since TX seems to be doing comparatively well.”
It is! And next month I will call it home.
Part of the problem I see with the US political system, and I mean this respectfully, is that the words Democrat and Republican don’t seem to have much meaning anymore.
You can be a Republican, who supports big government iniatives and you can be a Democrat, who supports small government and low taxes and freedom.
It almost seems to me that it’s more meaningful to declare yourself as a Red guy or Blue guy. People know what Red and Blue is, but can you really say you know what it means to be a Republican or Democrat anymore?
I'm voting for Sarah Palin. Because I don't run.
