Good post! Thanks for bringing up the subject. What folks need to focus on here is not the length of the commercials but on their DECEPTIVE nature.

As you have noted, many of the “products” advertised are scams and are simply designed to separate the listener from his/her money.

You rarely see such garbage advertised on, say, a baseball broadcast or on a music channel. But they're all over conservative radio. I find that both puzzling and sad

Buyer beware of course, but I do thing the station and the radio personality have some responsibility to their listeners to do at least some checking on their advertisers.

Many times I have heard the host himself telling his listeners how great the product is, when a simple Google search will show how corrupt the product is.

Sure, the customer should do the Google search, but don't the hosts have some moral duty also?

There's some truth in the observation that 'the Conservative Party is the Stupid Party': not that conservative = stupid, but that often stupid = conservative. That's the target audience.
