I can’t stand the commercials. Geico is so annoying.

Commercials ruin commercial talk radio for me. Maybe 37 minutes of content in an given hour and out of that. My time is much too valuable for that.

I think a market exists to adopt a commercial free subscription model for talk radio. For $20/month, you get talk radio streamed to your computer and you can listen in the car, iPod, etc., at your leisure with no commercials.

Ironically I subscribed to Sirus/XM satellite radio to get away from the commercials. However, the talk radio stations (and only the talk radio stations) have commercials!

Where do people get this paranoid stuff? MaxMySpeed, MyCleanPC, and DoubleMySpeed are all run by CyberDefender Inc. and while you can certainly find complaints about them on the Web they have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and they are a NASDAQ company. There's no way they are putting malware on your machine or anything like that. Rumors like this circulate around every security company out there from Symantec and McAfee to Doctor Solomon and Bulldog and it's just bullpucky. All of these companies are imperfect and they all suck in some ways but there's a huge difference between a company that doesn't always stop that virus that just ate your hard disk and one that actually puts them on your computer. There are guys out there like that, but they are shady criminal enterprises (mostly in Russia and China), there's no way a public company like MaxMySpeed is going to do anything like that. Grow up!
