That is was. Too bad the dog wasn’t allowed to join us. I gave her a bath though. Nice cold well water. She seemed to appreciate it.

Actally, FYI, there was a debate for many years about how to pronounce Arkansas. At first it was pronounced “Ar-kansas.” But then people began to call it “Arkansaw.” Finally, in 1951, the state legislators decided to end the debate by declaring the “official” pronunciation, “Arkansaw.”
There you have it folks.
Of course there is still the debate about Missouri. Is it “Missouree?” Or is it “Missourah?”

There are examples of that out on the web. Including one that has a redwood frame with the keys set in brass buttons.

Is it Missouree? Or is it Missourah?According to my grandfather, God rest his soul, who was born there in 1896, the exact pronunciation of "Missouri" depends upon factors such as whether one was born north or south of the Missouri River, and one's personal thoughts about The Civil War. "Missouree" was regarded as the Yankee way of saying it.

Do you guys tweet? It should be noted, here, that making certain body noises is highly discouraged, and those doing so accidentally are encouraged to excuse themselves as a matter of etiquette.

I bet. We let ours swim in the river on hot days, but that doesn’t help the doggie scent.

I’ve started to, but the local birds still do a better job.

Can’t even whistle, myself.
I suppose I should go to something regarding laundry.

Shannon has just done a spew. It’s wonderful when one’s pets are so friendly.

I never could whistle. My mother told me I would be able to whistle when my permanent teeth came in. Did the teeth know something I didn’t? Didn’t matter. I still can’t whistle. The only kid out of seven who can’t.
You already did something about the laundry: You told us your plan regarding it...

Oh, that’s true! Then I cleaned up the cat spew and went in the kitchen and fixed up the coffee for tomorrow. I’ve felt awful all day today - just like the last time I didn’t have coffee!
Shannon slithered off upstairs. She’s probably under the bed.
