Sorta.
I go back in to work tonight at 1800.
Just to sit and stare at a box for twelve hours.
We don’t do any real security related work there anymore.

There is that, but the site does not want security there.
And they’re lying to us through their teeth.
They want to go ‘full automated’, they think that will ‘solve all their problems’.
The problems exist with their people, not security, so nothing will be solved, but they have their fantasy and they want to cling to it.

Yikes! I’d be for getting a legal document in place to “indemnify and hold harmless” so that when SHTF over there because of their self-blindness they can’t come back and try to hang the albatross around your neck.

Oh, they already tried to pin the disappearance of a fully loaded trailer on us.
Problem was, the trailer went out between 0400 and 1800 during a weekday, we aren’t there between those times.
So they had it on video leaving teh yard, and then yelled at us for it leaving.
And we were not there as per the client directives.
Which we pointed out.
With glee.

The best one I personally had to deal with was the one management idiot there asking me if there was a magic button to hit to turn fifteen year old black and white ccd cameras into state of the art color cameras.
When told ‘no’ he came charging into the guardshack to try and prove me wrong.
When he couldn’t find this magic button he was talking aout, he said he didn’t believe this excrement, slammed the camera control panel down and stormed off.
