Our Jack Russels, when they are in a very loving mood, will nibble me like they nibble their own fleas. That in their minds, is probably the nicest thing they can do for me. I don't have fleas and neither do they but it is the thought that counts. Right?

Actually, that’s a very high compliment to you.

They are engaging in mutual grooming behavior and have obviously deigned to include ~you~ in their pack.

As you might expect, the Alpha dog is “groomed” *far* more often than the lower ranking dogs.

It’s very much a pack/social behavior so they must really highly approve of you...:)
