I agree with you that our population is unique when it comes to being armed. However, all what you cited is being done AND every other day the Communists come out grumbling about weapons' restrictions, registration and what have you. This proves that they're working on it and will never stop.

I was cautioning against the notion that liberal Communists are "afraid and detest" weapons, etc. There were threads on FR, a few years ago, about heavily armed, bragging liberals, especially in the Midwest.
