Years back had a friend who raised Black Angus...they found on tangled up in the electric fence. Put it down and the meat was horrible. They ended up throwing it all out...same thing, too much hormones released under stress and it effects the taste of meat....my dad was brought up on a farm at the turn of the last century and said he could taste in pork if the pig was a female in estrus when butchered. Those that use to raise their own food knew a lot more then we ever will....
