me too brother
three tries on a Burris until so disgusted I got rid of the scope AND the gun
that scope cost me an elk one year
have a couple leupolds now and a zeiss on my .340 mag...oh my what a sweet piece that one is
I'm real pleased with my Brunton 6-24x50 w/ #4 Mil-Dot.I have it mounted on my Savage BVSS 22-250 zeroed at 300 years.
Prairie dogs out to 500 yards.
I purchased a Nikon Monarch 4-16x 50mm BDC scope and never looked back. It was a piece of cake to zero in and I routinely hit the center of the orange lid of a a gatorade bottle lying on it’s side at the 500 yard mark.
It’s a great scope for the money!!!
Just going with stuff our guys use for reaching out and touching someone.
Besides, I love watching guys at the range lust over my scope and my brother’s Luepold spotting scope.
Love it even more when they see our shooting and that are groups are nice and tight and that is with surplus ammo.
Everyone in our family are terrific shots.
They usually want to know if the scope helps and I tell em “Nope, Just makes me feel good when use it”.
Breathing real slow helps though. LOL
My .02 dollars: Saying Leupold at this point would be redundant, but I love mine. That said, there are concerns with pirated look-alikes. If you get a Leupold, get it from a reputable dealer, rather than Craig’s list, or similar.

That’s the best I can do for someone who has no idea on what he is doing.
You may want to have a look at www.bestriflescopereview.net. They have a really good list and guide on how to find the best rifle scope.
