Plus, he won elections with 44% and 47% of the vote, respectively, before Minnesota reverted to their "stuck on stupid" default setting and elected Mark Dayton last year.

Not exactly sterling credentials for a presidential run.

Thank you! Putting aside the ideological problems that many of these guys have, winning an election REQUIRES a candidate who can carry his home state. That knocks out Romney and Pawlenty right there. They simply aren’t viable candidates unless they can carry their own state. Bachmann is also stretching the limits of viability for the same reason.
