Cooper portrayed Navy doctor Lt. Charles “Chick” Hennesey and Abby Dalton as a Navy nurse, Lt. Martha Hale. The series, which depicted the characters working and socializing aboard the San Diego U.S. Naval Station, featured such guest stars as Charles Bronson, Marty Ingels, Jack Cassidy, Soupy Sales, Mickey Rooney and Frank Gorshin.
