It is a good day
It is a VERY good day.
Ping to the list!
Ping to some special people. Toby, be sure to check in here and say hello. I’ve missed chatting with you on a daily basis.
Great idea!
Thank you.
Now, in order to make it work, we need to post here every day. Just tidbits of life, but it needs to be consistent and we need participation.
Jemian, thanks for starting this thread. It is a favorite of mine.
Hope you and your family are doing fine. Are you in the USA or on mission for the Lord?
I am recovering from major surgery with the blessings of many prayers of family and friends. Getting stronger everyday.
So happy that Bin Ladin is dead. Former President Bush gave a strong statement, so clear and complementary to the military, unlike the me, me, statement of O’s.
Prayers for the USA !!
Thank you so much. I miss the thread here so much. Life has been a big-ole-rat race. We have just finished branding 600 hd.of calves and now today must get to as many pastures as possible to make sure everything is okay and all Mama’s have their babies by there sides. Once again Thanks for doing this here. I like it so much better.

I am glad that you're recovering from surgery. When was it? Was it a surprise or something you knew was developing?
Yes, this is definitely something to Bush's credit and not our current poser. It was intel gathered at Gitmo that aided this operation. Frankly, I am surprised he was buried-at-sea so quickly. I would have liked to see the body. As it is the admin is asking us to trust them when they have proven so untrustworthy. Nonetheless, it is a good day for America.
I'm listening to Todd Beamer's father. He is saying my thoughts.
Good idea Jemian, thank you.
Good morning everybody. I will try to post as much as possibly even though life will be getting very crazy around here in the next few weeks.
Well, well, Osama bin Ladin is finally no longer exchanging atmospheric gases. Good work for the good guys. Not including Obama in that, though.
I’m off to read a few articles on this, have a great day everybody.
Thank you for your encouragment. Life has been a rat race lately. April just absolutely flew by for us. The beginning of it involved eye surgery for me underwritten by a family friend. Most people can just rebound from the surgery but it took me a few extra days. There was nothing wrong that occurred but the healing took longer.
Then there was the Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter celebrations. Except it started a week prior to Palm Sunday with our daughter performing in the choir of Verde’s Requiem.
All throught this I was working with a virus on my computer. I tried everything to remove it but in the end I had to reformat and reinstall. I’m still in the process of reinstalling and tucking the files I use into their proper places. That is tedious.
For us, Wednesday was very big day. We watched the weather radar closely and made all the possible preparations. Having done that, we waited and trusted God. We were blessed. As the squall lines approached our town, Auburn, AL, the storms either dissipated or separated going north and south of us. We had about a 20 minute rain and that is all. It is north Alabama which was hit and is in the process of digging out. So much work is to be done.
Denco, I meant to add that I really am enchanted by your life. If I had my druthers, I would be doing exactly what you are doing. Please keep telling us the tales of your ranch life.
Thanks, Prairie. You said life will be getting very crazy. My question is “when is it not crazy?” There may be days it is less crazy than others but crazy seems to be just normal.
Thanks, I love my life also. Now that I am older & after many surgeries I can no longer ride, but I drive feed truck in front of cattle when gathering so makes me feel useful(ha-ha)
Good Morning Everyone! The corn planters are finally rolling in SE Iowa. Unfortunately the temperment of those behind the wheel is still a bit ‘surly’, due to the lateness of the planting season.
I am headed outside to dig a few bags of Daisy to deliver to a friend of mine for transplanting in her gardens.
Wishing everyone an extra Happy Day!!
Good morning, Gran. Is your work in Des Moines in recess, at least until plantings done? What’s going on with the Mississippi in your area?
hey good to see you & an excellent idea of a monthly thread.
I personally cannot get onto the other site. Did inform 3 people but never got info back. My password no longer works
Maybe I am getting subtle hints? Just like never knowing about it initially?
Well, I am very busy in life & on the web & time is rare. this will be a nice way to keep up with each other for those who also never knew about the other place, who cant seem to log on or just don’t want to mess with another forum
Thinking about you & your EYES.. I met you in Ga a few days prior to your surgery. so glad so far is good results.
You will be returning to Indonesia this summer still? I have a QuakeFeed ap on my iPhone. Always seems to be rock & rolling there, although most are small.
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD!
LET GOD ARISE AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED!
