And this might be why he never runs... not the F-bombs... it sounds like Trump has the quintessential rich politician problem: Vietnam.
According to a new document unearthed by The Smoking Gun: Donald Trump received 4 student deferments, and one medical deferment, which is in contradiction to a previous quote explaining his draft status: I actually got lucky because I had a very high draft number. Ill never forget, that was an amazing period of time in my life.
Technically, that doesn't have to be a lie. Eventually Trump got a high draft number, but it appears that it's definitely not the only way he avoided the war.
Again, that Vietnam service has been an issue for many candidates is known to everyone, and for someone who was born wealthy -- and going to Wharton at the time -- the deferrals look worse.

Right back at ya! (LOL)
A little video short there, too
Nice try with the straw man argument. Nobody here is claiming the document is forged. The question is whether it matters or not. POTUS took advantage of student deferments which were available back then. Nothing illegal. Whether student deferments should or shouldn’t have been allowed is a separate issue, but regardless, to apply for one was completely legal, and unlike some who back then enrolled in college just to get some useless degree to avoid the draft, Trump’s degree was directly pertinent to his chosen career path.
Fortunately, he was banned long ago.
And now YOU have more FRmail as well. ;^)
“Trump is a joke.”
Trump saved this nation from Hitlery. That makes you the joke.
Lol This thread is from 2011! lol

............
Good question.
Good news!
There were plenty of good reasons it happened.
NOW I get it. Old thread. LOL. I guess I’m a little slow.
It caught me too. I thought he was back for a sec.....
Rush luckier than me. I had one and the army removed it after i was in for two years. I was so pleased that I stayed for 23 1/2 years.
LOL...can’t wear it out, thankfully! :-)
LOL
I personally wrote a letter to President Nixon complaining about his description of the Viet Nam war as “just”...he stopped using that word shortly after. Like Trump, I used numerous student deferments to avoid getting killed in Viet Nam like some of my friends. At that time, even the Coast Guard had a waiting list over 2 years long. When Nevada opened a new Nevada National Guard unit in Las Vegas, I and 250 other draft dodgers from all over the country flew into Las Vegas to be sworn in by then Governor, Paul Laxalt. After basic training and advanced infantry training at Fort Ord, I transferred to a U.S. Army Reserve unit at Ft. MacArthur in San Pedro for the rest of my 6 year commitment. All of my American ancestors from the 1600’s to my father in WW2 served in our military, but Viet Nam was a stupid and totally unnecessary waste of a lot of patriotic young men lives for nothing. So was Iraq and Afghanistan because those Muslim Jihadists will always be there...so either we turn Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan into a large glass parking lot or we kill any of them outside those shiitehole countries...no more useless and stupid wars..........................
LOL
