The firm was formerly known as Soros Real Estate Partners. Mr. George Soros founded Grove Capital in 1999.

The total investment from the several firms involved with the Chicago Trump project in 2004, was less than 20% of the entire project. It amounted to less than 0.5% of their combined investment portfolios - hardly substantial. Soros was only one of the three main investors!
Grove Capital has no involvement with George Soros. He founded a partnership with a similar name and then spun it off. Soros is not connected with Fortress Investment Group. His spun off partnership was a lesser participant with Fortress in financing of one of Trump’s projects at the initial stage. There is no indication that Soros was personally involved. That Soros and Trump attended the same party where Oliver Stone was present does not seem enormously signficant. It was hosted by the finance guru Roubini and many similar wealthly people of New York attended, ranging greatly in their political views. There is no indication that Soros has played any role with regard to Trump as he clearly played with his set-up non-profits with regard to Obama.
I believe that you have Grove Capital, of the Silicon Valley, confused with the Soros’ spin off Grove Partnership. The two are at opposite ends of the country and do not appear to be related.
Thanks for the ping.
“Forget Soros. Leave him alone. Hes got enough problems.”
Certainly noteworthy.
No one should be blindsided by this revelation.....
