I read all the way through the first link, and there several problems. First, plenty of ancient religions concurrent with the Greco-Roman did worship the sun and moon, such as the Egyptians, Persians, Native Americans, and more. They did not worship Jupiter and Saturn.

Second, planets would not orbit the star in a perfect line like a shish kabob. Orbital speeds will vary, or else the objects will either move out or inward in a very short amount of time, breaking up the system until a stable configuration is reached (such as exists today).

Third, there are plenty of valid explanations for how a planet can lose an ocean, ESPECIALLY if a few billion years are involved. Dismissing these without refutation is particularly glaring, as it is this “earth sucked away Mars’ oceans” silliness upon which the article’s central thesis is based.

So, imaginative, yes, but not even close on the explanation front. If you want a far out explanation for the pre-flood/post flood nature system, pre-flood we were on a world ship with automated climate-control systems. God told us there was trouble ahead and to get into the colony landing craft with our livestock. Next thing we know we’re splashed down on Earth’s oceans. We hit dry land a few months later, and the rest is history.

You were there I take it??

Plato and other Greek authors consistently refer to antediluvians as "Children of Kronos" or "Nurselings of Kronos[Saturn]. We still call the sabbath 'Saturn's Day'. The most major holiday in ancient Rome was "Saturnalia"...

Hesiod, Ovid, and other authors refer to a 'golden age' when Saturn/Kronos was "the king of heaven", followed by the flood and then a silver age when Jupiter was "king of heaven", followed by the Trojan war and then the modern (iron) age. Our sun is obviously the "king of heaven" now.

Other than that, Ra was definitely Saturn and not the present sun, Shamesh was Saturn, and a number of Med-basin names such as Helios werre found to have been switched from Saturn to the sun at some definite point in time.
