TRUMP: Obama "weak and ineffective" on almost every issue including Libya (just now on Greta)
Fox News Channel | 04/21/2011 | (live on FNC)

Very good phone interview going on right now on Greta's show.

Trump is venturing into foreign policy.

So far so good.

"That would likely spark conflicts and would affirm every conspiracy theory the craziest of Muslims ever had about us. We don't have the money for additional wars that may result anyway."

Two points, Muslims are at war with us now, we are the ones wanting to be everyone's friend. We will have plenty of money when we have the oil.

"Trump is NOT a conservative, why would any conservatives support someone who is not a conservative? "

Although I would prefer a completely Conservative ticket, the only leader I see in the field right now that can be elected is Trump. If the ticket is balanced out with West or Palin, that is a balance I can support.

"These positions Trump is taking at the moment on seizing Iraqi and/or Libyan oil are so outlandish and ridiculous that he couldn't follow through with them even if he were elected."

He is setting the table to make the deal, he is starting from a position of power rather than going to our enemies and bowing down. If the enemy thinks they are about ready to get their a$$ handed to them they are more likely to make a deal that we win.

The hand he is playing is bolstered by the thought that his policies are backed by the majority of American citizens.

You cited the 5th Amendment as the basis of your argument.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

It also says "for public use." How does that square, in any way, with what Trump said in the quote I posted? He isn't talking about public use.

We are almost certainly not going to elect Trump, so this is all academic anyway.

Sorry to say this, but I doubt that any Republican can defeat obama.

First of all, the media is always on his side.

The liberals that I know still support obama, and there are a lot of them out there.

If all else fails, they'll steal the election. Phila does it everytime.

Take that up with the court. It isn’t changing anytime soon.

"Now you’re making it sound like the President’s views are irrelelevant because Congress will balance them out."

What country are you from?

Do you really not understand how a representative republic works?

You seem to be pursuing circular logic without a basic understand of the balance of power that exists within the governmental structure of the USA.

Maybe you should take some classes at your local Community College.

Wow.

Translation: you couldn't come up with anything to refute my points but will continue to believe things about Reagan that are entirely speculative, wildly inaccurate and largely untrue.

You should NEVER compare Donald Trump to Ronald Reagan. The two aren't comparable in any way, shape or form. Reagan was a serious intellectual conservative with a track record of writings and speeches to back up his statements and proposals. Donald Trump has no real conservative credentials, has been all over the map policy wise, is not in any way connected to conservative causes and is not even remotely beholden to the conservative base. Trump is a chameleon who appeals to whatever crowd he happens to need support from at any given time.

IOWs you don't care what Trump's positions are. If you did you wouldn't try such a lame deflection to another subject. As I asked before; do you feel the same way about Roe v. Wade? It's the law after all.

I guess you would have to since Trump is pro-choice.

I understand how our republic works very well thank you. I also understand that you’re making excuses for someone who doesn’t care about our Founding principles at all and that is the subject on this thread.

If 100 people watched mac daddy push a little child into the path of a speeding truck the press would blame the child for being to close to the curb.

Rev.Al and J. Jackass would, after the check cleared the bank and was deposited into their account, jump up on their little step stools and blame the parents for allowing it to happen.

In the meantime mac daddy would depart on his 300th vacation at the tax payers expense.

His criticisms of Obama and the policy positions that he's been arguing could just as easily, minus the birther stuff, come from someone on the far progressive left.

No, this is simply untrue. Military on the Border, pro-life, against giveaways to foreign countries, supports aggressive drilling for oil in the U.S., against gay marriage etc., etc., etc. Virtually all of his positions are quite conservative and certainly would not be embraced by the "far progressive left". Now, if you don't believe him when he states his conservative positions, that's one thing. To state his positions are "far left progressive", however, is patently false.

"you’re making excuses for someone who doesn’t care about our Founding principles"

If you understand how our republic works, why would you not support someone that supports the rule of law?

Can you provide me with information that would indicate where one of our "Founding principles" states that we only have to obey the laws we agree with.

Please do not point me to 0bama and Holders interpretation of their "Founding principles".

No deflection. You can find a KELO ruling anywhere. I gave you the basis point. That ruling is pretty much in stone as arguments were submitted that “just compensation” could apply in other situations outside of war.

As far as murder and the “right to privacy”, that was the worst ruling the court has ever made as it was never addressed in the Constitution. I think the states can win this out and the court can submit to that.

Comparing Roe V Wade to this argument is pretty lame.

Comparing Roe V Wade to this argument is pretty lame.

Your argument is the KELO is the law. Roe v. Wade is the law. It's only lame because you support one arbitrarily for your own self interest not on any core principles.

"I'll just point back to you. Same thing. "

Did that make since in your mind?

Try to stay on track, you seem to have lost your train of circular reasoning.

So, you have no answer and cannot follow your own convoluted thought process and now you are wasting my time with illogical replies.

Have a nice night.

Agree! Greta is THE best interviewer on Fox News relative to politics. I haven’t seen any politician get snippy with her. She asks pertinent questions and does not insult those being interviewed.

I just wish she and Hannity would STOP having McCain, Graham and Gingrich on their programs!! I’m sick of watching the RINOs blabber!
