There was this little country over the sea that footed the bill for that EU peace. A little country that sold its inheritance to ensure others could have a shot at no more wars. The EU reaped the bountiful harvest, spending freely for a cushy social parachute, without thinking to thank the soldiers who won this peace, the American taxpayer.

It also doesn’t mention the over forty years of the Cold War, and the fact (this is the big one) that the EU didn’t exist until the 1990s. Even the EEC or Common Market didn’t come about until the late 1950s.
So much for the superiority of Euro-schooling.

Re post 5. You are right, but you don't tell the whole story. That "little country" along with the rest of the anglosphere LIBERATED Europe, INVESTED in Europe, DEFENDED Europe, KNITTED the ECM together, CONTINUED TO DEFEND Europe, and then finally DEFEATED Europe's enemy without firing a shot.
A most grateful bunch, aren't they?
