LOL, don't know what to say on this one. I was taught that you cannot divide by a number that hasn't be equated first. This could be variations in the decades so to speak.
As I read the equation, the 2(9+3) is the entire equation that must be solved prior to moving back left to right. That 2(9+3) is the "other" number.
I'll go dig out my old algebra teachers' names and we can ask, if they are still alive. :-)
I suspect those who think the answer is 288 are far younger than those of us who know the answer is 2.
The answer is 2. It’s pretty simple algebra. Amazing that the two machines give a differing answer, perhaps human error?
