I considered myself a birther until about 24 hours ago when I learned that Obama cannot legally release or even photocopy his long form BC under Hawaii law. I don’t have a problem with tearing down Obama over a...mistruth - the left deserves it for what they did to Bush for 8 years. However, it’s more difficult to prove a negative of “lying” about WMD intel and motives for the war than it is to cover up a birth location. Obama is an ego-maniac, serial liar, and a crook, but it’s difficult to say he’s unconstitutionally qualified with the facts before us.
Trump would be a bad move, even though I love the way he is putting Obama on the defensive right now on everything. Hopefully, this gives the rest of the field some courage to also go on the offensive also. If Trump were to beat Obama, he will not be reliable and will turn into a Schwarzenegger before our very eyes. Do you want to be defending that for 4 years? I don’t think so.
Obama and Trump are both clowns, but Obama projects the false image of a serious person that would probably carry him to victory again, even though Trump has a better idea of what he’s doing. Just look at the recent Florida poll – it is ours to lose, which we will do if we nominate Trump.

In “his” autobiography, he talked about a copy of his BC. No one is going to slap the cuffs on him if he showed it on national TV. If he asked for and received his college applications and grades, the secret service will not perp walk him if he showed us he was admitted as an American, and earned the grades to get into Columbia or Harvard Law.
If he wished to or could, he could legally prove he is eligible to be President.

We're sort of in the same boat. I was a sympathetic observer of the whole thing until I started looking deeper into it this past weekend. There's some serious nutter stuff associated with the birther viewpoint, eg promoting "facts" that have been disproven, etc. I get the BC issue as an attention getter for Trump. The issue distinguishes him from the pack. But if you are going to introduce yourself as a "smart guy" every time you are interviewed and then recite stuff that's been disproved, you look like an idiot. It tarnishes Trump, and reflects badly on all of us conservatives.

By his own admission ‘Obama’ has a Long Form Birth Certificate. He wrote about it in Dreams. Why didn’t he release that one when this all started to become an issue? There’s no need to jerk the electorate around. He supposedly works for us. We definitely finance his lavish lifestyle. Why, when we asked to see it, didn’t he post the LF he already has?
Why would you or anyone else let this one president be so oppressively superior to ‘his subjects’—so much so that he never has to give us even the time of day? Why not hold him to the common standards of decency, forthrightness and the famous transparency he promised that the MSM would for certain hold a Republican to?

Well, this isn’t a troll thread per se, but it’s interesting. Carter says he was a ‘birther’ until two days ago. Then he found out that HI forbids the release of LF BCs, and bang, it hit him. The COLB is authentic, and ‘birthers’ are only hurting themselves/conservatism.
