Especially since no one has any knowledge of what Jesus actually looked like.
Exactly. And I have even seen articles about things other than ‘faces’ too, for instance, a pretzel in the shape of Jesus’ legs or some-such-thing in the shape of Jesus or the Virgin Mary’s arms....I mean, c’mon people!
“Especially since no one has any knowledge of what Jesus actually looked like.”
Shroud of Turin.
Yes, God describes him "as a root out of the dry ground"... very plain... nothing to look at. He could pass through crowds as if unseen because he was so plain.
Folks had trouble finding him, others had to lead them to him.
You wouldn't know him if you saw him, but he said "My sheep hear my voice" - "the voice of another they will not listen". If you are one of his and heard his voice call, you would know it.
Do not seek an Image of Him to Worship. It would be to you as the Bronze Serpent that Moses made - which the Israelites started worshiping instead of God.
Men and Women are Idol factories. We make Idols out of anything that attracts us.
Instead hold His Word fast within your heart. Any Scripture that is ringing and true in the back of your head - Memorize it and Meditate on it all day long. You will find contentment and peace.

Not so fast. I happen to agree with this rendition, a portrait modeled directly on the face in the image on the Shroud of Turin.
