Me, too. It was always all about her. Too much self-promotion. And I didn’t appreciate her bump-and-grind act at the end.

American Idol wrapped up its season on Channel 10 in Tempe in May, but the series is already looking ahead to next season with auditions starting soon. However, the Idol for this year, Scotty McCreery is hard at work on his debut album. The Christian Post reported on Friday that McCreery has plans to include one Christian song on his debut album.

McCreery wants to do this to follow in the footsteps of Josh Turner because he has “looked up to him so much.” Josh Turner has had one Christian song on each of his albums, and McCreery would like to do the same. McCreery is hard at work selecting songs for his debut release. Currently, he has help from songwriters such as Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson sending him material, and he wants that new material to keep coming.
