I sneaked and watched the show — hope my big kids don’t mind. I’ve been voting my fingers off for Mister Scotty, even though tonight Lauren really sang her socks off. I’m impressed, with a busted vocal cord? She is amazing. But I believe that Scotty deserves to win for his whole season’s body of work.
Plus, he never looked like a cupcake.
Scotty will almost certainly win. I'll be happy for him.
But he might have been the worst singer on the show this year. His body of work pales in comparison to every other singer who made it into the Top 11, including Stefano Langone and Paul McDonald.
Morons, preteen girls and musical illiterates make up the voting bloc for this show. They chose Cook over Archuleta, Allen over Lambert, Studdard over Aiken, Hicks over McPhee and DeWyze over Bowersox.
America loves mediocrity. My bet is we'll see it again when Wednesday's results are announced.
