Well, some cats get really mean when they don't feel well. She's the type to suffer in silence, just drag herself around and keeps wagging her big Maine Coon tail. Today's the first day she's been vocal in while. Once this morning and then this evening. She feels well enough to meow.
I think she's in the bottom three of the cat competition around here.

We have a Maine Coon too! She will be watching Idol with me tonight, late, in my lap “force-petting” me. Force-petting: where the cat shoves her nose into your hand, trying to force petting out of you.

We had a Maine coin. One of my favorite cats over the years. I still miss him.

I too have a Maine Coon cat. He's a big red 10-year-old furbaby. (Yak fur on a little man in a cat suit is more like it.) He vomited and then wasn't eating
or drinking last week, so I took him to the vet. They first told me he had gallstones but following an ultrasound, they said he also likely has lymphoma. (bad liver and spleen as well)
He's home now, on prednisone twice a day, which makes him seem almost normal again. The vet said his life may be extended for a couple more months. I'm upset and sad for a part of each day knowing he's not really well but only appears so.
Ah, but the shallow entertainment factor of IDOL will relieve my sorrow for at least an hour tonight. (especially if Jacob or Haley are voted out) =o)
