Great story. ...I don’t think I’ve ever run across a Lab I didn’t like. We had a couple of Lab/Lab-mix rescue/adoptee girls while our kids were growing up... They weren’t black though. ...Both were ‘blondes’.

I will never know why he chose to ‘be’ with us - every day. It was SO special and sweet.

So, you will know why your ‘name’ touches my heart every time I see it.

When I was in Puerto Rico for a friend’s wedding several years ago - something similar happened - a dog (that I called “Charcoal” - because of his color) adopted me, and even chewed through the screen to get into my condo, while I was out for the day. He was sitting on my bed, waiting for me, when I came ‘home’. He followed me all over the island for a week.

When the driver picked me up to take me to the airport, I looked out the back window - and there was Charcoal - looking.............(I cried and wept, knowing that I had to leave him).

I don’t dare go to the Humane Society - I could easily adopt them all and become what they call an ‘animal horder’!

................and I miss my Lindy..........so much!
