Glad you were not in any danger, DD! The Fire Dept. Captain told me that if someone threw a lit cigarette out on the highway, my home could be engulfed within four minutes, if the winds were right! I am terrified of fire!
(The neighbor to the north of me has two and a half acres that he has let go for the past ten years. It is a “Forest” of weeds, and he could care less about the possible consequences of his negligence.)
Wow...wouldn’t do for that neighbor to own property around here. The county mandates a 100’ clearance completely around anything more than an acre (privately owned). Of course, gov’t land can go un-maintained forever!
