Winged Jewel

With wings spun of silver and hearts of gold,
These tiny creatures our hearts behold.
With angelic features and colors so bright,
Make even the heaviest heart seem light.
The magical way they flit through the sky,
They appear, then vanish in the blink of an eye.
They're sending a message for us to retrieve,
Anything's possible for those who believe!

Happy Wednesday ladies! I love the graphic, frame and poem! (And my hummingbirds, too!)

Rufous is back - guarding the feeder, and chasing all the other hummers away. It’s a “HUMMER WAR” here in the high dessert!

After a couple of days of pretty warm weather, it has cooled down for the weekend.

I haven’t seen any hummingbirds yet. I will put the feeder out this weekend and see if it will attract a couple. We have lots of patio finches. They come back every year and use any of their old nests that are still here. They are pretty little guys.

this reminds me so much of my very good neighbor john’s dog Snowflake that died a few months ago at age 17. John really really took this hard. No family to speak of & this was his buddy. He has a good girlfriend but a guy & his pup are lose (well so are we gals & our pups)

I just posted that on Josy & Toby’s Facebook page (yes they have a Facebook page) yesterday. I loved it. Cant believe the two dogs sat that good with food that close. Mine would not been as mannerly.

Maybe so!! :) What a beautiful dog! He seems to be saying, I'm doing the best I can NOT to walk on the tulips and you'll love me anyway! Right? :)
