Do I completely trust him? No.

Let me explain, however, the feeling I’m getting and why I could see myself supporting The Donald, (if he runs which he may well not), even though I myself can hardly believe I’m saying it.

Up until now, there’s really been NOBODY on the GOP side that excites me, with the exception of Herman Cain, who, unfortunately, I don’t see getting much traction (but I’d love to be proven wrong).

Palin, God bless her, is an inspiration, an outsider, and a good conservative, but, she just is not going to win, no matter how many times The Oracle of Sarah at FR says she will. It’s just like the Duncan Hunter supporters back in the ‘08 primaries but she has a lot more support. End result will be the same, however.

T-Paw is OK, but boring. Won’t beat Obama (or win the primary).

Mitt is old news, and Romneycare is a huge albatross.

Huckabee? Pleeeeze.

Gingrich? A great ideas man, but c’mon, the only one that would get beat harder in the general election than Sarah would is Newt.

Enter Donald Trump. Not the most conservative guy, but seems to have a grasp on a lot of issues we’re facing today and the only one really talking about them. In a nutshell, he might not be Mr. Right, but he might be Mr. Right Now.

I’m going to say this, then run for cover. LOL If we can’t get a solid conservative in the race, then I’ll probably support the Trumpster. He is interesting, and since he’s from NY, is it possible that he could carry his home state in the election? That’s what? 55 electoral votes? He has some good ideas, and although not perfect, heck, none of them are - he generates excitement. Except for that hair do, of course.

He doesn’t need the money - the president doesn’t make that much anyway. He doesn’t need the perks or glitter, he has that already. So, what’s his motive? Maybe he is losing ground in his businesses because of the Chinese. I don’t have the answers, but, if he’s sincere, then he has as much right to throw his hat in the ring as anyone else.

He also has moxie, which is sadly missing from most of the milquetoast candidates who are now running. I don’t want a rehash candidate this time around. We need someone who can get rid of zero and his regime. That’s the bottom line.
