What happened to the rest of him? I’m not familiar with his story, was he canonized?

He was decapitated by peasants in a revolt. Don't know how the Church handled it.

If they find Wat Tyler’s remains, then I’ll be impressed.
To: pillut48
Yikes! This is what happens when the peasants get unruly.

I keep your skull-bone upon the wall
It hides a nasty hole that’s lyin’ there
So don’t you ask me to give it back
I know you know it doesn’t mean that much to me
I’m not in love, no-no
(It’s because...)

Wonder about the living person on a waiting list for a CT scan that is still waiting?

Evidently,if he was decapitated, the church didn’t handle it well at all.

Evidently,if he was decapitated, the church didnt handle it well at all.The Church and the monarchy were so intertwined that all was political. For whatever reason, the peasants really disliked him.

Who was the other one that was murdered? Becket? Caint remember.
Kind of a hazardous profession they had back then.

Who was the other one that was murdered? Becket?Seems that Thomas Becket got his in 1170. Seems also that Archbishop of Canterbury was not always the best job.
