My younger brother owns 5500 acres with another guy in which they lease most of it for exactly that.

Shoot? I killed a small feathery thing today after lunch and had chicken pasta salad for supper. Tomorrow, I have 2 little piggies showing up to help prep for Sunday dinner. No firearms were or will be involved. ;)

Deer or feral hogs.... maybe a rifle is appropriate. But most of what I've eaten in the last 2 months has come from the blade of a 4" Japanese folded steel paring knife. Firearms are for emergencies.
