Oh, I’d be mad at the daughter too. I don’t believe the daughter for a minute when she said she was sorry the moment she got it.
She may have been sorry once she saw it, and realized she had a mom with that “Mom beam” eye who was going to let her have it as soon as she found out.
But anyone who deals in a service minors are not allowed knows they try all kinds of tricks to get by. Cigarettes, booze, etc. In stores here they card anyone under FORTY for booze! A bunch of giggling half drunk girls swearing their friend is eighteen is nowhere near (to me) a reasonable expectation of proof.
He didn’t want to lose the job and money. And Mom is looking for money too, I’m sure. But that doesn’t let him off the hook.
