The most overrated films of all time, as I see it:
3. (tie) The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and The Godfather. Yes, they were good films. Just not quite as good as they’re made out to be.
2. Fight Club. Damn... what the hell what THAT?
1. Pulp Fiction.
Inception is overrated too, but not as much as these others.
Most UNDERrated films of all time:
4. (tie) Apollo 13, and October Sky.
3. Groundhog Day.
2. Titanic. Yes, that Titanic.
1. Forrest Gump.
And another, that’s simply a classic:
Vertigo.
Following that listing of films,
I must ask are you stupid, or does your posting just make you appear that way?
Dumbest list ever.....
Oh, and I agree about Close Encounters.
The Godfather was great.
Appollo 13 was OK.
October Sky was a waste of time.
And pulp fiction was so bad I couldn’t make it through the first 40 minutes and stopped watching it.
Titanic would have been entertaining if it weren’t for the two leads, who I found pretty digusting.
I never get tired of watching Trading Places. Not profound, just great entertainment.
Titanic is one of the very few movies that I can watch over and over. I also loved October Sky.
I’ve always thought Legends of the Fall was underrated.
Most overrated move of all time American Beauty.
Groundhog Day ruled.
"Independence Day"...anything with Mike Myers, anything with Decaprio, anything with Sandler...
most underrated...."The Year of Living Dangerously" was just out of this world fantastic....can't take my eyes away when its on....
Hey, I kind of agree with your list. I loved October Sky — great movie.
Forrest Gump - didn’t think it was all that until I saw it again. It’s all that.
Titanic - never wanted to see it again, but it was a vastly entertaining movie and sometimes that’s all I ask.
Groundhog Day - another movie that grows on you if you watch it again.
How can you put Titanic on a list of most underrated films when it won the Oscar for Best Picture? Do you think it should have won TWO Oscars for Best Picture?
Apollo 13 was a colossal smash hit, was nominated for best picture, and won a handful of other Academy Awards. Titanic was the most winning, and best-selling movie ever. Forest Gump won the Academy Award, and raked in $300 million. Exactly how underrated could they be? What do you want, Tom Hanks to be declared God-Emperor and James Cameron to have right of first copulation with all virgin brides?
