I agreed with Ben Shapiro on all his picks for over-rated-
especially Juno and Little Miss Sunshine.
The remake of “A Star Is Born,” with Barbra Streisand. God-awful.
Of the pics he mentioned, I agree about Up in the Air. George Clooney is underrated as an actor. He was good in the movie, but it is a basically depressing movie without much interest and a sad ending.
I didn’t like the Matrix, but some people almost worship it, including my son, so I’ll just say that people disagree.
Annie Hall and every other movie Woody Allen made since has been horrible and I include the acclaimed Hannah and her Sisters.

I’m way late to this thread, and I haven’t bothered to read everything to see if this has already been said. I believe anything by Woody Allen, and any movie with Robin Williams in it, are terribly over-rated.
Best movies that I've seen recently (in no particular order)...
1) Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
2) Inglorious Basterds
3) Inception
4) Toy Story 3
5) How to Train Your Dragon
However, I do recommend avoiding "I Am Number Four" at all costs. My wife and I wasted a perfectly good, very rare child-free outing to see it. Holy crap was it bad. "Smallville" meets "X-Files" meets "Twilight". Just godawful.
I'm hoping to be viewing the acclaimed (not really) "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" soon!
Inception was one of the most boring films I ever saw.
Strange kind of love - Starring Gabby Hays and Lassie
I agree with most of this except “The Matrix”. That was a very cool movie-the sequels, not so much.
Joe Versus the Volcano, perhaps Tom Hanks greatest triumph and surely a movie that embodies the brilliance of Hollywood.
Here is a movie I’ve seen recomended several times on FR and I will add a recomendation myself for those who have missed it.
SOPHIE SCHOLL-THE FINAL DAYS
If you havent seen Sophie Scholl-The Final Days, you have not seen one of the best foreign language movies of all time. And It made my top 10 list of most captivating movies of all time, meaning it is one of those movies that stick with you long after you watch it. And watching it makes you want to learn more about the real characters and the White Rose the Nazi resistance movement.

Netflix has it.
My pick for single worst film to get an award is “Unforgiven” starring Clint Eastwood. One of the worst movies he ever made.
Let's make it a little more interesting:
Most Overrated Films By Me!
‘How Green Was My Valley’
I thought “Fargo” was pretty good until I discovered they lied when they said it was a true story. It was totally made up.
Knowing it was not true made all the quirkiness of the characters, the way they talked etc. not nearly as good. It did seem like it could have been real.
Although I enjoyed ‘Juno’ and ‘Giant’. The rest of the list pretty much encompasses ‘Over Rated’.
‘American Grafitti’ is pretty, well edited garbage that leans to George Lucas’s strong point of ‘Cutting In The Can’.
Never got the hang of ‘The Matrix’. Outside of its over the top Special Effects, what do you have left to hang a film on?
Woody Allen’s last funny film was ‘Take The Money And Run’.
‘The English Patient’: I’d rather have Root Canal Surgery.
Curious to see what films make the Top ten.
Over-rated: Napoleon Dynamite
Under-rated: Black Dynamite
past 10 years:
American Beauty
