I was carrying a suitcase that I had just purchased in Walmart, the register lady opened it, saw it was empty. I paid for it, then started walking to the parking lot. A lady receipt checker asked to see my receipt, I said ‘no’ and continued to walk out. Nothing happened. I was surprised at my quick snappy answer, but I felt empowered!

Good for you! If I ever go to a WalMart again (which I highly doubt), I’m going to do it! the only thing I want to hear as I leave a store with a purchase is ‘thank you’, ‘come again’ or ‘have a nice day’. Somehow ‘can I check your receipt’ does not make me feel like a valued customer, but apparently a lot of people think it’s just GREAT!
