They better not...Beck is a huge if not the only person on television exposing the pure evil of the left and what is actually going on in this country.

Beck is best when he is connecting the dots.

I watch Fox because they are right half the time. They could save a lot of money by getting a bobble head doll of DumBO with a sign that says “Bush’s fault” whenever they need comment from their balanced side.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and consider the source of this story:

The NEW YORK TIMES.

On a MONDAY morning.

If those two phrases aren’t enough, never forget that NYT isn’t above skulduggery to dig up a “fake but accurate” report on anyone conservative.

This story needs to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. NYT is one of the most untrustworthy papers around.

This is the title up on Drudge now ----NYT MISCHIEF MONDAY: 'FLOATS' FOXNEWS/BECK BREAKUP... DEVELOPING...

Maybe NYT playing games. Beck's investigative reporting has been great lately. He recently covered Van Jones involvement pushing propaganda on children in New York Schools. He also covered this: FBI Raids Home of Obama Associate & Radical AAAN Leader in Terrorism Sweep

the left doesn't like sunlight, the pressures on FOX and Beck must be intense.

This is probably about money; Beck signed with Fox after limited TV experience (and modest success) at Headline News. Translation: his TV contract isn’t close to what Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and the other prime time stars at FNC are making. Glenn is probably asking for a much bigger contract and a prime-time slot as part of any “re-up.”

With FNC contributing more than $700 million a year to the NewsCorp bottom line, Roger Ailes will have no problem padding Glenn’s bank account. But he isn’t prepared to give Beck the 7, 9, or 10 pm eastern slots. Meanwhile, I’m guessing that CNN has made a run at Beck, offering him the 8 pm timeslot. Parker-Spitzer (or whatever it’s called) has bombed and they see Beck as one of the few hosts who could put a dent in O’Reilly’s ratings.

And forget all that “journalism” stuff that CNN tries to use in justify in rock-bottom ratings. They’d be happy to pay whatever Glenn wants and build their prime-time line-up around him. Pretty heady stuff. Out of loyalty, Beck is giving FNC a chance to make him a counter-offer, but if he doesn’t get the big raise and a new time slot, he will movfe. Rest assured, Beck wouldn’t be talking about leaving unless he had other offers on the table.

Another possibility is some sort of first-run syndication show. With Oprah departing, everyone on TV is filming some sort of pilot for the late afternoon time slot. Personally, I don’t think Glenn would do well at 3 pm. He might also be contemplating a syndicated show for late night, opposite “Nightline.” Rush did well with his show back in the early 90s, achieving solid ratings on a rag-tag line-up of stations.

As with the afternoons, I think Beck would face an uphill battle in late nights. But if he goes the syndicated route, he splits the revenue with his partner, which means that Glenn makes millions, even if the show isn’t a rousing success.

I haven’t read the NYT article (obviously), but I’m betting this situation can be summed up in three words: timeslot, money and control.

I like Beck and think he does an excellent job of teaching on his program. Unfortunately, and speaking only for myself, I find his program to be like a very sweet liqueur; I can only take it in small doses because it’s so intense. It’s easy to get so upset watching his show, and at times, feel so overwhelmed by all the people working to destroy our nation every day, that I simply have to turn it off. Could be one reason his ratings are not as strong as last year, if in fact that’s the case; people may just be overloaded. Now we have to deal with a presidential election!

Hope this is a Leftist ‘whisper’ campaign, against Beck - and nothing more. OTOH. . .listening to Beck, sometimes; seems he almost hints at possibilites.

I skimmed through the article and have yet to read anything that indicates a break up.

It seemed to be an editorial of someone who would like to see a split. Did I miss something?

Beck and Red Eye are the only shows on FOX I watch anymore.

Although I do DVR B'Or on Wednesdays only to FF to the Dennis Miller segment.

FOX news has been co-opted by the left. People don’t realize when the Saudis bought a big stake in FOX it was as if Russia and China did the same.

The Royal family answers to Mocsow plain and simple.

Beck is the only one telling the truth. Hannity has sold out to the establishment and has become a puppet of Gingrich. Sad but true.

agree. Some say Beck is ‘too much’ or ‘too hard to listen to’ and I say, God bless Beck for alerting us and people should pay attention. I hope Glenn does not leave FNC...we really need him....calling FNC tomorrow.

When Beck sticks to the chalkboards he's great, but he also fails to offer solutions other than "Do your own homework" and "violence is not the answer."

OK... so what is?

Beck is cowering from the obvious, that when Evil is confronted it has to be put down by force. Patriotic pacifism will not defeat Mordor-on-the-Potomac.

Given the Muslim-in-Chief, maybe we should be amazed at how long Beck has lasted at Fox News; or ‘at all’ for that matter. The ‘red phone’ on Beck's set never rings; but we can be sure they do elsewhere. And not just phones that ‘ring’; might be sound of necks snapping at Fox News.

Beck has done a lot to educate people on where progressives are from and how ingrained they have become in our politics. The pure amount of hatred and attacks towards him should indicate that he is on target in many things.

However, if you have ever listened to his show he jokes about how he's going to have a spectacular meltdown someday. He babbles about “The Plan” and “Movements” and “Fundamental Change” then a few months later he's off in a new direction. He's identified more "Arch Duke Ferdinand" moments than the History Channel.

Anyone who expects him to have a long career as a television host hasn't listened to him.

Drudge’s initial post suggested that this was NY Times mischief making.

I think he’s right. Nothing but typical left-wing rumor, innuendo, and “they wish.”

After old man Murdoch dies, I hate to think what will happen to Fox. All his kids appear to be libs. But in the meantime, Beck is still giving them excellent numbers and plenty of chatter.

Does anyone think Fox minds when Obama attacks them, as he did from time to time? They just took that and turned it around against Obama, and it increased their audience.

I’m an amateur but from what I see and hear on Glenn Beck’s TV and radio shows .... He just does not have the advertisers he needs. I think the leftists boycott of him had done damage. Beck can have very good numbers as far as viewers& listeners but he needs more quality advertisers paying for air time. This is why his days may be numbered on TV and radio
