Anyone know what this item is?
It is handmade, nice deco brass outer with rather crude scratched-up bright tin liner (not glass that is shiny in sides... that is tinplate...)
Rough-mounted circular, clear glass "window". Lid opens by pressing down on finger catch - like a dustpan). End of the "handle" has polished flat "gem" stone set in it.
