It sure was shocking news. I worry about you having so much to bear week after week. I'm like Meg said..."that light was a train." Things have to let up sometimes.

Did you let the folks know at the place you all got him. Is there any possibility he could have had what the other dog had that is so dangerous? Its just awful to think he died so quickly and was so young. (I cannot imagine what little Marissa felt like?)

Thats hard for little kids. Well, we just have to face it as it comes along I guess and remember "it could have been worse." At least you, Mr. Just and Marissa are okay.

Hope things will be looking up for the Just family starting today. Bless you all.

I mentioned it to the rescue shelter and they were as shocked as we were.

Buddy was due for his last baby shot on the 14th. The lady at the shelter said when I find one we want, they will hold him until he gets all three of his shots.

I really think it was a fluke. Maybe he got into something. We do not put out poison for mice or gophers. It is possible that the neighbor had put something out to kill gophers. It would have been a real coincidence if the two times he got out of the yard for a few minutes that he would have gotten into something.
