Before discussing whether this is a good thing, it might be a good idea to determine for sure whether it is a true thing. Some thoughts.

Why would a Minister of Science announce this?

100 gold coins? That's not the way an American talks.

The Israelis took great pains to NOT kill Palestinians in Gaza.

If they wanted to, the Israelis could kill every Palestinian in Gaza in short order.

Oh very true, of course. But you can't demonize Israel and find a new conspiracy theory under ever rock if you waste you time looking at the facts, now can you?
