One of the individuals in those commercials basically bragged about missing births and other important family events and his willingness to miss more in his pursuit of his hobby. That individual - I think not the deceased one - came across as a pretty vile excuse for a human being.

Yes, I had the same reaction. What a total ass. Missing births and important family events to watch millionaires clobber each other.

Yeah, that guy certainly came off as a rather selfish boob to me. Really too bad Bob could not have attended his last Super Bowl, with his team in it and winning it!

You think missing a family birth is a despicable thing?

Unless it's one of my own children or maybe grandchildren, I couldn't care less about others in the family giving birth. Just pop the kid out and call me when its old enough to talk. I got better things to do than sitting in a hospital waiting room waiting for somebody to have a baby.

Nor do I find them "cute." All the babies look the same to me. They cry all the time and crap in their pants. No thanks, I'd rather be watching football, painting the garage, waxing my car, getting a root canal, etc.
