One drummer I really liked but who fell off the face of the Earth in 80s was XTC’s Terry Chambers, really added a lot of snap to their early albums, he was definitely missed after he left.

I was going to mention Terry Chambers. He was a fantastic drummer. I grew weary of Andy Partridge leftist rubbish lyrics and grew tired of XTC. Andy did not get on with Todd Rungren either. LOL!

The guy who play in the ska group The Specials was a good one too. they reformed after 20 years recently and he still can play.

His “fell off the face of the earth” was that he quit XTC and moved to Australia with his wife. John Evan, the keyboard player in Jethro Tull did the same thing.
