Maybe I'm out of it but I never even heard of this group before. To me they were ALL about futuristic techno-hype on the stage and very little about singing. Did Dean Martin really need to have flashing robo-people performing hi-tech stunts all around him? Okay, he did have to put up with Jerry Lewis antics in his early years but the only bit of techno that Dean Martin needed was a microphone. Same thing with a lot of other singers.

So the Black-Eyed Peas to me was all techno-hype and very little to do with talent. I can't even remember today the tunes they were singing last night.

“I can’t even remember today the tunes they were singing last night.”

That was a big problem. Unlike the Who, they dont have a huge number of recognizable hits that appeal to alot of people. I only recognized one or two songs in their medley.

A blast from the past, when football was worth watching:

I was a Colts fan back then, but give Bart his due:

From Wiki:

"The First AFL-NFL World Championship Game in professional American football, later known as Super Bowl I and referred to in some contemporary reports as the Supergame,[4] was played on January 15, 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

The National Football League (NFL) champion Green Bay Packers (14–2) scored 3 second-half touchdowns en route to a 35–10 win over the American Football League (AFL) champion Kansas City Chiefs (12–3–1). Green Bay quarterback Bart Starr, who completed 16 of 23 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, with 1 interception, was named Super Bowl MVP."

Half-time performers were:

University of Arizona & Grambling State University Marching Bands, University of Michigan Marching Band, Al Hirt, and the Arcadia High School Drill Team
