Looking at that chart it looks like 2000 was a bad year, much worse than what is supposedly coming?

Because of the very slow minimal start to Solar Cycle 24, the maximum peak monthly average is now expected to be no more the 50-60. That is only about 1/3 of Solar Cycle 23’s max activity. Since the official predictions have up to date always been way off on the high side, we must assume a peak activity of below 50. That probably means no net warming this cycle. We may have a few bad storms and there may be a few CME’s headed toward the earth orbital plane, but we wont have to worry about solar activity. The inactivity is the problem right now. You want an average sun. That is how the Earth has remained habitable. The extremes are the problem.
