NASA has been warning about it…scientific papers have been written about it…geologists have seen its traces in rock strata and ice core samples... Now "it" is here: an unstoppable magnetic pole shift that has sped up and is causing life-threatening havoc with the world's weather.

Forget about global warming—man-made or natural—what drives planetary weather patterns is the climate and what drives the climate is the sun's magnetosphere and its electromagnetic interaction with a planet's own magnetic field.

When the field shifts, when it fluctuates, when it goes into flux and begins to become unstable anything can happen. And what normally happens is that all hell breaks loose.

At different locations on the earth, the variation will differ as will the rate of increase and/or decrease. Here's a graphic (on the left) that shows that. The actual values of variation have changed since this was put out, but it gives you an idea of the differences in variation.

I have a dumb question. If I’m reading it correctly, the chart you posted shows variations in magnetic field depending on location. What effect (if any) do those variations have on compass readings?

Refer back to the compass rose in Post #74. A marine or aviation chart of a different area will have different info in the center....different variation and different annual increase and/or decrease in this variation. Your compass will point to Magnetic North but the difference between Mag. North and True North changes dependent on your position on the globe.
Mariners discovered this ages ago when they found that their compasses did not always point to Polaris. If you go here and enlarge some of the roses, you will see the differences in the info at the center.

It is all those man made electrissicles running through the power lines. They create magnetical fields that attract the polars, and that has a lot of bearing on it.

The obvious answer is to shut down all power plants in the northern hemisphere.

A secondary problem winding through the scientifictional press is the magnetical fields created by the huge alternators in SUVs.

Al Gore has been mocked lately for not being in the public eye, allegedly due to acute embarrassment. In reality, he is too busy writing a new book and movie sequel to An Inconvenient Truth with the working title, A Shocking Revelation to have time for public appearances.

When I first read this stuff years ago, it was explained as our solar system passing through through the “galactic plane”.
Imagine two pie plates, one covering the other, as the structure. The bisecting plane between the two separates the division of “positive” and “negative” magnetic charges.
As our sun slowly sine waves through the galactic plane over time, the magnetic poles of the solar system bodies will have to shift because the galaxy won’t.
If it happens, we’ll know it.
